Day 60 - Liszt in Scotland

One of the unfortunate losses to our schedule due to the current nightmare is Kenneth Hamilton’s Perth Piano Sundays concert on 17 May. Ken gives some of the funniest and yet totally informed lecture recitals you could ever hope to experience. His initial copy read:

‘Kenneth Hamilton takes us on a virtuoso tour with Franz Liszt in 1840s Scotland--playing some of the pieces he played, and vividly describing the triumphs and tribulations of his motley band of fellow artists as they travelled shambolically, and not always soberly, from Portpatrick to Edinburgh. It was a logistical nightmare; a financial disaster—but with some well-known and wonderful music along the way’.

We can’t hear Ken live, but you can get a taster below!
