The day we begin our Live & Unlocked festival seems like the right moment to draw our daily blog to a close after almost 500 posts embracing all sorts of music and theatre, community projects, family fun, dance, comedy, local history and even sport.
We hope you’ve enjoyed these daily doses of culture and that they’ve provided some comfort, entertainment or food for thought during the very strange times we’ve all been living through. They’ll stay online for you to explore and we’ll transition to a new blog format as live performances begin to resume in our venues in September.
We sincerely thank you all for your support during what has been, and continues to be, a very difficult time for the performing arts and we hope we'll see many of you over the next few days. We already have many shows onsale for the autumn and will be announcing our full programme towards the end of August.
We leave you with Keep Going Together, the song we commissioned from Ian McLaren for our 365th post, delighted in the knowledge that its central wish is about to come true as we welcome back audiences to live performances. It's doubly appropriate too, as all the great local musicians featured in the video will perform at Live & Unlocked later this week.
Let’s Keep Going Together - tomorrow will be a new day!
