Day 419 - May 11th 1559: The Date That Changed Scotland
On May 11th 1559, John Knox preached in St John's Kirk. The service sparked an uprising by what Knox described as a "rascal multitude", which quickly spread across the country and changed the course of Scottish history for centuries to come.
