Day 372 - Climate Cafe!

Climate Cafes are an opportunity to talk about how you want to engage with how you can help yourself, and your community, address environmental change. They're meeting places, social events, and opportunity to learn something new. They are casual and inspirational. They're popping up all over the place.

We've just begun one at Perth Theatre in the lead-up to COP26, And it would be great if you can join us. For the moment, until we can be in person, we'll be online.

Taking place on the last Tuesday of every month between now and COP26 in Glasgow in November, Climate Café Perth will present a range of speakers from the arts and culture sector to kick start conversation through talking about how they are engaging with COP26.

There will be space to participate and discuss the content of their talk as well as local issues that matter to you – creating a brilliant platform for designing and amplifying local change.

This Tuesday coming we are joined by Lewis Hetherington, Susannah Armitage and Matt Addicott of FIELDWORK PERFORMANCE who are planning to create a pop-up installation which can travel easily around the city (initially Glasgow but they are looking at the possibility of partnering with other cities) and create a space for something to happen - a performance, a workshop, a meal.

The pop-up space - DEAR GREEN PLACE - would see experts in climate science, permaculture, sustainability and urban design collaborate will citizens to build skills, raise awareness of what is being planned to support the city to adapt and to co-design action that needs to be taken for the city to be happy, healthy and creative in the face of the climate crisis.

Please book into the event to join us by clicking here . Tickets are free. The event will take place on Zoom. A link to join the event will be emailed to you 30 minutes before the start.

If you cannot join for the next one, but would like to register your interest in being a regular attendee at Climate Café Perth please still sign up for this event which will allow us to note your interest in Climate Café and contact you in future.
