Day 5 - Once Upon a School

Today is the first full day of school closure. Horsecross Arts will be bringing you activities to get involved with from home in the coming weeks.

At this moment, when the shape of our lives has - temporarily - so fundamentally changed, there is time perhaps to rethink what schooling looks like when we return to ‘normal’ school hours.

In 2002, writer Dave Eggers came up with a simple idea: support overburdened teachers by connecting caring adults with students who needed a little extra help.

It all began with a Pirate Supply Store.  Here is his inspiring Ted Talk.
