Day 188 - Working On The Frontline: Jessie & The Leonards

A fantastic new song in support of NHS workers from singer and actress Jessie Buckley (Wild Rose, Taboo, Chernobyl, War And Peace, The Last Post). Written by Neill MacColl and Kate St John, the song has a Perth connection with Stuart Nisbet - who was part of Jessie's band in Wild Rose - recording his lap steel contribution from home in the Fair City.

Working On The Frontline is taken from the album Song Club, which will be released on October 23rd 2020.

Inspired by photographs taken by Hannah Grace Deller of life as a frontline nurse during the Covid-19 crisis, Working On The Frontline is the first release from the album Song Club, a collection of songs by award-winning songwriters - including Nick Heyward, Graham Gouldman, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Mark Nevin and Kathryn Williams - that celebrate frontline workers and document a poignant moment in time.

Song Club is released on October 23rd, see: https://slinky.to/SongClub

Proceeds from sales of this song and the album will be donated to the RCN (Royal College of Nursing) Foundation.....so please buy it!
