Day 174 - Ccippo featuring Twila Grace: Hallelujah

Our annual show with Perthshire-based Zambian gospel artist Ccippo was sadly cancelled due to the covid lockdown. His great new single featuring Twila Grace shines a welcome ray of Afropop sunlight into the increasingly dreich Perth weather. As Ccippo says, "It’s been a dark season for all of us on a global scale and we needed a happy song!"

Ccippo is a Zambia born, recording artist, songwriter and music producer who is now based in Perthshire. Over his ten-year career as a music producer, he has greatly contributed to the establishment and growth of the Zambian music industry and helped give birth to some of Zambia's biggest names. His music is largely of African origin with a strong gospel flavour and a subtle fusion of afro-jazz, salsa and reggae.

Twila Grace is an international gospel singer-songwriter, hailing from Zambia and currently living in England. Her musical sound encompasses neo-soul, jazz, contemporary gospel and an occasional traditional Zambian sound. Artists that have influenced her over the years include India Arie, Musiq Soulchild, Kirk Franklin, Erica Campbell and Mary Mary, to mention but a few.

Hallelujah is available on TikTok, Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Google Play and all major music platforms.
